As a RN you will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while communicating and documenting observations, assessments, interventions, and changes in condition The RN works collaboratively with physicians, rehabilitation professionals, direct care staff, individuals served, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to promote health, safety, independence, and quality of life.
Job responsibilities:- Assess and monitor individuals' health, identify changes in condition, and communicate concerns to physicians and the care team
- Administer medications, provide wound care, and implement physician-ordered treatments within the applicable nursing scope of practice
- Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records, medication documentation, assessments, and required reports
- Educate individuals served, families, caregivers, and staff on medications, treatments, and health needs
- Attend assigned healthcare appointments and team meetings
- Promote safety, follow infection-control procedures, and use medical equipment safely
- Maintain confidentiality, nursing competency, and required training; perform other duties as assigned
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current, unrestricted Michigan RN or LPN license
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- One year of nursing experience
- TBI experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, medication administration, documentation, and computer skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
- Compassionate, culturally respectful care and ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to recognize and respond to health changes while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries
