Account Manager , Automotive - M. Holland

Purpose

The Account Manager role is responsible for driving volume growth for the Automotive business. It encompasses managing tactical sales activity in addition to supporting strategic activity of the business and supplier relations, including overall financial responsibility of the territory.

Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below

• Strategic Responsibilities:
• Managing pipeline process by collaborating with Commercial Director, Product Management and Strategic Suppliers
• Joint travel with supplier partners to develop target accounts and establish strong working-level and executive relationships with customers and suppliers
• Drive growth strategy by delivering value for customer and business
• Essential Tasks:
• Developing and executing sales strategy for assigned territory in collaboration with Commercial Director
• Prospecting and closing target opportunities which will generate organic volume growth for the automotive portfolio; this includes travel to participate in customer meetings
• Collaborating with Technical Service to position materials which best meet customer needs
• Coordinating with Technical Service to support customer needs (e.g., new business, quality needs, approvals, etc.)
• Utilizing CRM tools to ensure pipeline is updated, robust and sustainable
• Work with Commercial Director, Product Manager and key stakeholders to increase product exposure and depth
• All other duties as assigned

• Education:
  • Bachelors degree or related training. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience:
  • Proven experience with 5+ years of experience in selling, brand management and strategy development in automotive preferred
• Licenses /
  
  Certifications:
  • Valid driver’s license – required
• Language:
  • Proficiency in English required
  • Bi-Lingual – Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
