We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to add to our growing team within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role supports production equipment and automated manufacturing systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations

• Maintain and support product-specific work cells to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity.
• Respond promptly to machine downtime situations, diagnose issues, and restore equipment to safe and efficient operation.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all assigned work cells and production equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
• Conduct mechanical repairs such as fabricating components and repairing or replacing bearings.
• Service and repair hydraulic pumps that drive mixer blades and cooling pumps that control mixer bowl temperature.
• Maintain and repair mill equipment, including rolling-pin-style mills, conveyors, belts, drives, and material transfer systems.
• Work with equipment similar to industrial baking mixers and related material handling systems, ensuring reliable operation.
• Use electrical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve basic electrical issues associated with machinery.
• Interpret and work from blueprints and technical documentation to perform repairs and modifications correctly.

• 3+ years of experience performing maintenance and preventive maintenance (PM) on production or industrial equipment.
• 3+ years of experience working with hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
• 3+ years of experience working with pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience in machine repair, conveyors, motors, etc.
• Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings for maintenance and repair work.
• Proficiency in preventive and corrective maintenance practices for production machinery.

The environment demands a hands-on, mechanically focused approach and comfort working around industrial machinery and process equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Comstock Park, MI.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
