Summary:
- Wyandot Middle School
- 7 hours a day/Monday-Friday, occasional evening hours as needed
- Rate of pay is $37.63/HR
- Grant funded positions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Education, Human Services, or a related field. - Experience working with adolescents in school, community, mental health, juvenile justice, mentoring, or youth-serving settings.
- Demonstrated skill in de-escalation, conflict resolution, restorative practices, relationship-building, and student engagement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with administrators, counselors, social workers, teachers, families, and community partners. Ability to serve as a positive role model for students.
Duties:
- Provide support to students experiencing academic, social, emotional, behavioral, attendance, or engagement challenges.
- Build trusting relationships with students and develop individualized support plans.
- Assist with crisis response, de-escalation, and conflict mediation. Support re-entry planning following disciplinary incidents, absences, or other disruptions.
- Monitor progress toward behavioral, attendance, and academic goals and adjust interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with school teams to connect students with appropriate support and resources.
Preferred Experience:
- School ounseling or social work
- Restorative practices or PBIS implementation
- Youth mentoring or case management
- Community mental health or juvenile justice programs
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $37.63 Per Hour
