Truck Driver - 2nd Shift; Automotive Manufacturing

The driver is responsible for transporting parts and materials between Drake headquarters and customers and suppliers. This position will mostly be delivering and picking up locally.

• Loading, transporting, delivering and picking up items in a safe, timely manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete.
• Making payments for items at the time of pick up when necessary.
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
• Make boxes, peeling stickers and breaking down boxes as needed.
• Assist the warehouse with packaging duties as needed.

This is a non-exempt, full-time hourly position regularly requiring at least 40 hours per week.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 21 years old (DOT requirement)
• Valid CDL(Class
  
  A) state of Michigan license
• DOT Card
• 5 years’ experience required
• Clean driving record
• Hilo experience required

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Physical stamina for production work.
• Ability to climb in and out of the truck, and other physical requirements of this position.

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, chemicals, and temperature changes. PPE required.
