The Kitchen Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Madison, CT. This role involves meeting with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budgets, and developing functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen designs. Day-to-day tasks include creating detailed design plans and layouts, selecting cabinetry, materials, and finishes, and preparing proposals and presentations. The Kitchen Designer collaborates closely with the installation team, coordinates project details, and provides ongoing customer support throughout the remodeling process.
The role also includes maintaining showroom displays and contributing to sales activities through professional design consultations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Kitchen & Bath Design, including space planning and material/finish selection.
- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to build rapport, explain design concepts, and manage client expectations.
- Ability to support Sales efforts, including presenting designs, preparing proposals, and assisting clients with product choices.
- Knowledge of Cabinetry, including product lines, construction details, and installation considerations.
- Experience with design software (e.g., 2020, CAD tools) and basic computer skills for documentation and project coordination.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Prior experience in residential kitchen or bath design, remodeling, or related fields preferred.
- Relevant education in interior design, architecture, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
