We are a growing firm, looking for an Associate Attorney to join our team. Specifically, we are looking for someone who has 1-4 years of experience, ideally with previous insurance defense experience.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience
- 1+ years of insurance defense experience
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in Connecticut
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of insurance defense cases, from initial claim evaluation to final resolution.
- Conduct thorough legal and factual research, and develop effective defense strategies for clients.
- Draft various legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs to support defense strategies.
- Handle written discovery, take and defend depositions, and prepare witnesses for these proceedings
The annual salary for this position is between 100k-120k. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
