Certified Nursing Assistant
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your role is pivotal in supporting healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring the well-being of individuals across diverse healthcare settings. Job Types:

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide mobility assistance and assist with patient transfers.
Communication:
- Effectively communicate with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
- Report changes in patients' conditions to the supervising nurse.
- Accurately document patient care activities in a timely manner.
Support to Healthcare Team:
- Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized patient care environment.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Safety and Infection Control:
- Follow established protocols for infection control and safety.
- Adhere to proper lifting and transfer techniques for the safety of patients and healthcare providers.
Observation and Reporting:
- Observe and report any changes in patients' physical or emotional conditions.
- Monitor and assist with medication administration as directed by the nursing staff.
Professional Development:
- Participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities to maintain and enhance CNA skills.
- Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Certification:
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Connecticut. - Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Communication
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Compassion:
Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care. - Teamwork:
Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. - Physical Stamina:
Physical fitness and ability to perform tasks that involve lifting and moving patients. - Regulatory Compliance:
Adherence to state and federal regulations governing healthcare practices.
