Student Support Paraprofessional (Grades 6–12)
Location: Clinton, Iowa
Type: Full-time | In-person |
Hourly Pay: $16‑18/hr (based on experience) |
Schedule: 2026–2027 School Year
We are seeking a positive, organized, and student‑centered paraprofessional to support students and teachers within our self‑paced learning environment. The role includes academic support, student supervision, mentoring, and helping maintain a structured and supportive classroom culture.
Responsibilities- Support students during independent work, projects, and small‑group learning
- Assist teachers with classroom organization and student accountability
- Help reinforce behavior expectations and positive school culture
- Supervise students during study times, transitions, lunch, or activities
- Build supportive relationships with students and staff
- Assist with school events, workshops, field trips, transportation, or supervision as needed
- Experience working with middle or high school students preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Positive, flexible, and team‑oriented mindset
- Comfortable working with technology and digital learning platforms
- Associate degree, paraprofessional certification, or college coursework preferred
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Small class sizes and supportive team environment
