ADay in the Life
- Deliver GoalZERO HSE performance through strong leadership, employee/contractor involvement and management systems.
- Ensure adherence to company management systems supporting Process Safety and Process Hazard Analysis.
- Participate, lead, and implement site, regional, and corporate initiatives.
- Implement and adhere to corporate standards and assess gaps and opportunities.
- Accountable for the development and coaching of members of the Polymer Technical and Controls organizations.
- Ensure that Code of Conduct and all other Lyondell Basell policies are consistently followed and administered within the organization.
- Prepare and manage the Polymer Technical and Controls Systems budget in a cost efficient and responsible way that meets the goals of the site.
- Participate actively with the business team to create, plan, organize and execute short and long-range objectives to ensure continued site and business alignment, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Work collaboratively with the other functions at the site to identify integration opportunities and implement these initiatives within your departments.
- Lead and/or engage in efforts to build a strong Lyondell Basell brand through community service.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with a minimum of 6 years experience in the chemical or refining industry.
- Previous supervisory and/or leadership experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of or experience with HSE, operating, maintenance, and engineering processes and procedures, business fundamentals, and shared services role in manufacturing.
- Strong people and organizational leadership acumen demonstrated through previous experience within manufacturing.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to interface with all organizational levels within the company.
