We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end supply chain operations at our Clinton, Iowa facility. This highly visible leadership role is responsible for production planning, purchasing, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives that support operational performance and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do Supply Chain Leadership- Lead production planning and scheduling activities to meet customer demand and operational objectives.
- Monitor forecasts, demand signals, and supply chain metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
- Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and inventory optimization initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service levels, material flow, and operational efficiency.
- Own monthly inventory targets for Raw Materials (RAW), Work-in-Process (WIP), and Finished Goods (FG).
- Ensure inventory accuracy through effective cycle count programs and inventory control processes.
- Provide accountability for inventory reporting, reconciliation, and corrective actions.
- Continuously reduce inventory levels while maintaining production continuity and customer service expectations.
- Lead purchasing activities, including domestic and international sourcing.
- Review purchasing requirements with overseas suppliers, including China and other global sources.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, freight agreements, and service terms with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Ensure timely receipt of raw materials to support uninterrupted production schedules.
- Manage shipping, receiving, transportation, and warehousing operations.
- Optimize transportation routes, freight costs, and warehouse strategies.
- Evaluate material handling equipment, storage capacity, and staffing requirements.
- Improve inventory flow and distribution effectiveness across operations.
- Track and report key operational KPIs, including shipments, finished goods inventory, labor performance, production output, and scrap.
- Partner with Operations, Finance, IT, and Corporate teams to drive process improvements.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and strengthen supply chain performance.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
This position provides leadership and oversight for supply chain‑related functions and works closely with:
- Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) leadership
- Materials Management teams
- Purchasing and Procurement teams
- Production and Operations leadership
- Corporate IT and cross‑functional business partners
- 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Operations, Production Control, or related functions within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience with:
- Production planning and scheduling
- Inventory management and cycle counting
- Purchasing and supplier management
- Logistics and transportation coordination
- Forecasting and demand planning
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
