Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Title: Machine Operator 2

Pay: $20.00-$20.50 per hour

Hours: Monday-Friday; 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Location: Clinton, PA 15026

The Machine Operator 2 is responsible for setting up, operating, and tending multiple types of cutting or forming machine tools and related equipment to produce metallic and plastic work pieces in accordance with specifications, blueprints, and job orders while maintaining quality standards and equipment performance.

• Inspect work pieces for defects and measure parts using rules, templates, and precision instruments to ensure accuracy.
• Monitor machine operation to identify defects or malfunctions and make necessary adjustments.
• Read blueprints and job orders to determine product specifications, tooling, and operational sequences.
• Set up and operate machines including lathes, cutters, shears, borers, millers, grinders, presses, and drills.
• Position, adjust, and secure materials using chucks, fixtures, stops, or automatic feeding mechanisms.
• Select, install, and align drills, cutters, dies, and guides using templates, measuring devices, and hand tools.
• Replace worn machine accessories such as cutting tools and brushes.
• Perform minor mechanical and electrical adjustments and notify supervisors when major repairs are needed.
• Start machines and engage feeding, cooling, and lubrication systems as required.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance including cleaning, oiling, and adding coolant.
