Garda World Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer for temporary positions. We are looking for a candidate who can keenly observe and report security activities across a variety of settings, such as security operations centers, call centers, and parking gatehouses.

Location:
Clinton, IA - Temporary full‑time schedule: 13 on, 1 off; shifts 6 a.m.‑6 p.m. or 6 p.m.‑6 a.m. (12 hour shifts)

- Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity
- Document observed events and incidents and write detailed reports
- Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
- Conduct regular patrols to ensure premises safety
- Control access to secure areas and verify visitor identities
- Analyze security systems to identify vulnerabilities or malfunctions
- Collaborate with law enforcement in serious situations or emergencies
- Ensure safety and protection of individuals and property
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Pass extensive screening process
- Strong report‑writing skills
- Exceptional visual and concentration abilities
- Proficiency with technology
- Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience preferred
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license
- Available to work overtime
- Ability to obtain or maintain an IA security license (Garda World will pay for this license)
Employment is contingent on successful completion of a background check and drug screening after an offer of employment is extended.
