Heavy Equipment Operator - Clinton Engineering

Clinton Engineering (CEC) is a full-service general contractor and recognized leader in construction for the Clinton Community and surrounding areas since 1926. We specialize in design-build, new construction, rehabilitation, and renovation of commercial, industrial, and municipal projects.

CEC is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator based in Clinton, Iowa, and we are excited to connect with candidates who are interested in growing with our team. While this is not an immediate-fill position, we are actively accepting resumes and will begin interviews once a qualified candidate pool has been established.

The Heavy Equipment Operator will haul and operate heavy machinery such as skid steers, dump trucks, and mini excavators for construction projects in the Clinton, Iowa, area.

• Experience operating skid loaders, mini-excavators, and other heavy equipment in a construction environment.
• Class A CDL is a strong plus, but we are also open to candidates willing to obtain one.
• Safety-focused mindset with the ability to work efficiently around crews, equipment, and active job sites.
• Dependable team player who is willing to jump in where needed and help keep projects moving.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to adapt to changing job site conditions.

This position is based in Clinton, IA and will require some travel to job sites within the Gateway Community. Candidates must possess a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.

This position starts at $28+ per hour for candidates without a CDL, with a starting rate of $31+ per hour for candidates with a valid Class A CDL.
