Concrete Finisher

CEC is currently seeking a Concrete Finisher based in Clinton, Iowa and are excited to connect with candidates who are interested in growing with our team. The Concrete Finisher is responsible for ensuring a consistent and high-quality concrete pavement product for our customers. This type of work could include assisting with initial concrete set‑up, monitoring string lines, material preparation, and general labor duties.

• At least 5 years experience working in concrete, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Understanding specifications or tolerances on concrete projects (edge slump, vertical face, pavement thickness, profile requirements, etc.)
• Ability to read and understand documents, write routine reports, and basic emails/correspondence
• Basic math skills, such as adding; subtracting; multiplying; and dividing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Team player mentality and the desire to be a part of a successful, hard-working team.
• Ability to follow both written, oral or diagram instructions and be able to effectively problem solve

This position is based in Clinton, IA and will require some travel to job sites within the Gateway Community. Candidates must possess a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screen, physical and background check.

This position has a starting wage of $24/hour+ dependent on experience, and additional compensation available with a valid CDL and operating experience.
