Pay Rate: $20.76 – $35.12 per hour. Starting pay is dependent on skills & background. Shift(s) Available:
Day Shift – Monday thru Thursday, 10 hour days. Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, and on occasion different shifts with advance notice as needed. The Mason Craftsman is responsible for the construction, repair, restoration, and maintenance of industrial concrete, masonry, and civil structures throughout a manufacturing facility. This position performs masonry work, concrete placement and finishing, formwork construction, structural repairs, layout activities, foundation work, and installation of construction components in support of capital projects, maintenance activities, and plant improvements. The successful candidate will install and repair masonry structures, construct concrete form systems, place and finish concrete, perform construction layout work, and support industrial civil construction projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Lay brick, structural tile, concrete block, flooring systems and similar materials to construct and repair walls, partitions, foundations, and other industrial structures.
- Construct, install, and remove concrete formwork systems for foundations, walls, equipment pads, sidewalks, curbs, containment areas, and structural concrete projects
- Measure from reference points and establish layout lines, elevations, grades, and work locations using blueprints and construction drawings
- Prepare, place, spread, level, and consolidate concrete to specified depths, elevations, and finishes.
- Smooth and finish concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, curbs, foundations, and miscellaneous concrete structures to required specifications.
- Repair damaged concrete surfaces, masonry structures, foundations, and other civil infrastructure.
- Construct and install temporary and permanent support structures associated with industrial construction projects.
- Install frames, doors, hardware, embeds, expansion joints, anchor systems, and miscellaneous construction components associated with civil projects.
- Operate masonry saws, jackhammers, loaders, forklifts, aerial equipment, and other construction tools and equipment.

- Previous experience in any of the craft areas (electrical, welding, millwright, etc.) is required.

- Direct industrial experience in a plant environment
- Knowledge of ADM Clinton plant – a strong plus
On-the-Job Training Requirements:
- Complete ADM safety, food safety, quality, and environmental training
- Participate in company planned operations training
- Equipment training may include but not limited to JLG, forklift, non-DOT truck, reach lift, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Strong fundamental skills (math, reading, writing and verbal communication)
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong safety aptitude
- Experience in an Industrial Manufacturing setting and/or similar military environment (preferred)
- Detailed oriented and self-motivated
- Motivated with a passion to learn
