Overview

CSP has partnered with a growing organization in search of a detail-driven, proactive Senior Payroll Accountant. You will own the full payroll accounting lifecycle in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on accuracy, loves problem-solving, and enjoys partnering cross-functionally to keep payroll running seamlessly and compliantly across multiple states.

You’ll lead payroll processing, reconciliation, and reporting, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and play a key role in month-end close and audits. Success in this role requires strong judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to move quickly without sacrificing precision.

What You’ll Do
  • Run full-cycle bi-weekly payroll across multiple subsidiaries and states
  • Process off-cycle payrolls (terminations, bonuses, equity, reimbursements, corrections)
  • Review timekeeping data, investigate discrepancies, and drive resolution
  • Prepare and post payroll journal entries in Net Suite with accurate allocations
  • Manage multi-state payroll tax setup, filings, and ongoing compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close with reconciliations and reporting (payroll, benefits, 401(k))
  • Oversee W-2 review and issuance, audits, garnishments, and benefits reconciliations
  • Serve as a payroll subject-matter expert, responding to internal inquiries with clarity and confidence
  • Partner with HR and Accounting on system updates, process improvements, and special projects
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of payroll experience in a multi-entity, multi-state environment (200+ employees)
  • Strong payroll accounting knowledge, including compliance and reconciliations
  • Hands-on experience with payroll taxes, audits, and statutory reporting
  • Experience with Rippling and/or ADP Workforce Now;
    Net Suite experience preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills and a sharp analytical mindset
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and take full ownership of your work
