Heavy Equipment Operator

Overview

Enviro Vantage, Inc is an environmental remediation & demolition contractor since 1985, serving nationwide and across the Caribbean. Enviro Vantage is a trusted authority for Government, Commercial & Industrial projects involving hazardous materials handling and demolition.

• Operate and maintain heavy machinery (bulldozers, excavators, off-road haul trucks, skid steers) safely and efficiently.
• Prepare construction sites by digging trenches, leveling ground, and moving materials.
• Load and unload materials such as soil, sand, gravel, and debris using machinery.
• Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition and report any issues.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in demolition
• Experience in the construction and/or environmental remediation field required
• OSHA 10 or higher construction training preferred
• HAZWOPER 40
• Forklift certification preferred
• Experience operating hydraulic attachments

• Coordination:
  Ability to coordinate your actions with those of other workers on busy construction sites
• Attendance:
  Ability to complete work projects on time and in an effective manner; regular and prompt attendance are an essential job function
• Working Conditions:
  
  Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, dust, rain, pollution and toxic atmospheres
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
  Ability to wear required PPE, including respirator, and participate in OSHA-required medical surveillance programs as necessary
• Lifting:
  Ability to pick up construction debris and able to lift 50 lbs. regularly and heavier weights with the proper equipment
• Climbing:
  Ability to climb temporary or permanent stairs and ladders
• Regularly required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work

• Compensation Range: $30.00 - $40.00/hour
• Actual compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location.

• Paid Time Off (PTO): 80 hours per year
