Job DescriptionSummary
:
The Industrial Automation Manager is responsible for a team of specialists who support the sales team to achieve sales growth across all disciplines of our product and services. The objective is to increase profitable sales by developing an effective team and maintaining high quality customer and supplier relationships.
- Develop, lead, and mentor a specialist team to drive consistent profitable growth
- Review customer terms and conditions for large projects to clarify scope, manage risk, and align commercially with the customer
- Collaborate with key suppliers to plan annual engagement and position Rexel as the supplier’s preferred channel
- Drive a disciplined selling process with an annual plan, accountability for results, and sales goal achievement
- Develop competency plans to enable resources to win in the market
- Demonstrate commercial understanding of current and future technology segments with specific technical acumen as needed
- Establish development plans for each employee aligned with team and business needs, addressing performance as needed
- Create a culture focused on success; celebrate team and individual accomplishments
- Lead and support sales efforts with key targets, customers, and opportunities in the area/region
- Identify customer needs, propose solutions, and close orders
- Present proposals to leadership and technical audiences
- Demonstrate commercial and technical acumen related to assigned technology segments; act as SME for those segments
- Participate in product meetings, seminars, and trainings to maintain knowledge
- Analyze market potential and develop an annual business plan; lead execution with local teams
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications- 5+ years of experience
- Prior management experience preferred
- Electrical distribution industry or related experience required
- High School or GED required
- 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Strong leadership, organizational and planning skills; ability to influence and lead through others
- Proven track record to drive positive business performance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer focused
- Product and application knowledge required

Compensation
:
For the state of Maryland, pay range is $110K to $135K, depending on qualifications and experience.
