About This Role

We believe people should love what they do – in a Test Engineering role, you will be responsible for:

  • Testing and integrating new technology into our family of USV products throughout the lifecycle of the program.
  • Leading a team of 2-4 test engineers including allocation and monitoring of daily tasking and overall responsibility for daily testing operations related to the program for which you are assigned.
  • Executing test engineering tasks – including (but not limited to) requirements analysis, design review support, test planning, readiness reviews, integration, verification, test/failure review board management, risk management, and engineering analysis.
  • Preparing and presenting test engineering work products – including (but not limited to) test plans, procedures, and reports to internal review teams and external customers.
  • Working cross functionally with project management, project engineering, and engineering functional leaders to provide project planning for test activities, resource allocation requests, test metrics tracking, and test status.
  • Serving as a resource to others within the department and the organization.
  • Interacting daily with US Navy customers, program managers, planners, and technicians.
  • Driving tasks to completion independently.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (software, electrical, mechanical, systems, or computer engineering) or physical sciences and a minimum 5 years of experience in a systems engineering or design engineering role required OR
  • Master’s Degree in engineering or physical sciences with 3 or more years related experience.
  • 2 years demonstrated project leadership experience preferred
Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance preferred;
    Secret eligibility required
  • Travel Required:

    25% - 30% travel
  • Effective writing and presentation skills.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DOORS, JIRA, and Magic Draw (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a DoD environment and model based systems engineering
  • Naval system experience according to military standards preferred
