Job Description:The candidate will serve as a communications FSR for program aircraft, ground sites, and support equipment with responsibilities including, but not limited to command and mission communications and information systems.
Essential Functions:- Support aircraft launch / recovery, provide engineering and technical support to both Operations and Maintenance toward the resolution of system issues and provide logistics support when needed.
- Complete field team repairs and modifications on program aircraft and components.
- Supporting, imaging and configuration of program assets, FAA return to service of program components, configuration management, informal training, engineering drawing and technical publications interpretation.
- Interface with the Customer, Users, and subcontractors as required in support of program requirements.
- Occasional overtime along with dayshift, swing shift and rotating on-call for nights and weekends are required.
- Ability to work in a demanding environment.
- Working knowledge of aircraft communications systems and ground systems.
- Troubleshoot aircraft communications systems.
- Configuring, troubleshooting and testing of aircraft and mission communications systems.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Bachelor’s Degree with six (6) years of aircraft mission communications systems, maintenance and modification experience.
- Graduate Degree with four (4) years of aircraft mission communications systems, maintenance and modification experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of ten (10) years of aircraft mission communications systems, maintenance and modification experience.
- Must have an active Top Secret DoD Clearance with SCI eligibility at the time of hire.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Skills:
- Experience in a military environment and use of military Vehicle Maintenance Forms.
- Technical and aircraft wiring diagram experience.
- Visio experience.
