Position: Program Systems Engineer City, Maryland

We are currently seeking a Program Systems Engineer to support our Patuxent River, MD customer for the Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program (PMA-262).

Responsibilities
  • Performing systems engineering and technical analysis for avionics and communications subsystems on the MQ-4C Triton, a high-altitude, long-endurance maritime ISR platform.
  • Reviewing engineering artifacts, airworthiness documentation, and test data to evaluate system safety, integration, and compliance with U.S. Navy and Commonwealth of Australia requirements.
  • Supporting the full systems engineering lifecycle for the MQ-4C Triton program, including coordinating technical reviews, facilitating engineering working groups, managing RFIs, and integrating engineering inputs into the Integrated Government Schedule to support development, production, integration, sustainment, and operational testing of the MQ-4C.
  • Serving as a technical liaison between U.S. Navy and Commonwealth of Australia airworthiness teams.
  • Supporting cooperative execution in accordance with the Airworthiness Qualification Plan (AQP), participating in configuration management activities, and ensuring all engineering documentation meets disclosure and release requirements for allied operations.
Required Experience
  • At least three (3)–ten (10) years of experience in Systems Engineering supporting DoD aircraft or weapons systems, consisting of the design, development, integration, and system testing of computer hardware, computer software, and navigation, sensor, and communication subsystems.
  • Demonstrated experience in NAVAIR Systems Engineering Process and Airworthiness is desired.
  • Knowledge of system engineering principles, theories, and concepts and ability to contribute to the development of new and innovative principles and concepts.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a wide range of non-engineering, non-scientific information in the form of Federal Acquisition Regulations, Military Standards, Department of the Navy (DON)/DOD/NAVAIR policies, directives, and instructions and ability to determine the applicability of these documents to assignments.
  • Ability to work and coordinate with a variety of professional personnel associated with the assigned duties.
  • Experience with Navy Unmanned Aviation platforms is desired.
Education

BS degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering

Desired Experience

Master’s degree and Ten (10) years’ experience.

Security Clearance and Citizenship

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance preferred or ability to obtain. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

The salary range for this position is $77,571.36-$ (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems’ total compensation package.
