As a Respiratory Therapist at Med Star Southern Maryland Hospital Center, you will provide compassionate care to patients across a range of ages and needs. Working with physicians and other members of the care team, you’ll support patients with the treatments they need while helping them breathe more comfortably and feel cared for throughout their experience.

- Associate's degree or higher from an AMA accredited program in respiratory care
- Bachelor's degree in related healthcare field preferred
- 0-3 years of acute care experience
- Registry eligible
- CRT
- Certified Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NRBC) - RCP
- Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NRBC) preferred - Must process and maintain license to practice Respiratory Care in Maryland
- CPR
- Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days of hire - Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit
- ACLS NRP PALS and other certifications are required within a year where required
