Technical Writer
Position Code: PWS 3.2.1 (A)
Clearance Level: Active Top Secret/SCI (Required at time of submission)
Location: Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD
Hours: Monday – Friday, normal business hours
Hybrid Eligible: Yes, subject to agency policy
Travel: Up to 25%
Roles/Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain user manuals, installation guides, SOPs, and policy documentation for complex technical systems.
- Translate highly complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Research and develop technical reports, test plans, and all other unclassified and classified technical products.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and COMSEC teams to gather information and clarify documentation for customer-facing outputs.
- Ensure all technical products meet the standards for R&D reporting and military documentation.
- Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of comprehensive technical writing experience. - Expertise:
Proven ability to manage all aspects of research and development reporting and test plan documentation. - Communication:
Expert proficiency in translating complex engineering data into clear, actionable outputs.
