Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Family Dollar is hiring a mid‑level Shipping & Receiving Clerk for a full‑time position in Clinton. This role supports the Distribution Center’s Bulk Operation by handling shipping, receiving, and warehouse safety tasks.

As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you will process damages, arrange pick slots, and maintain a safe and clean work environment. You will operate P.I.T. equipment, disassemble bulk packages, and support quality standards for Order Fillers.

• Assist with managing damaged stock and re‑align misplaced items to appropriate pick slots.
• Operate P.I.T. (Power Industrial Truck) equipment safely and perform daily safety checks.
• Disassemble bulk packages and flip cases to ensure barcodes are visible for efficient sorting.
• Maintain an organized workspace and complete regular cleaning duties.
• Follow all safety procedures, use PPE, and advocate for a safe work environment.

• No prior experience or formal education required; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs routinely and handle up to 80 lbs occasionally.
• Comfort with walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and working in a warehouse setting.
• Reliability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Good communication skills for working with colleagues and management.

The position is in a warehouse that lacks climate control; temperatures are subject to outdoor weather and are managed with fans and heaters. The role may involve working in restricted spaces and exposure to airborne particles within OSHA regulations.

Pay includes a transparent structure with scheduled increases at major milestones and shift differentials of $1.00–$2.50 per hour for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. The role offers opportunities for advancement within the logistics network and a consistent Monday‑to‑Friday schedule on the first shift.
