Team Campbell is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Ballot Access Manager to contract with Andrea Joy Campbell’s 2026 reelection campaign for Attorney General of Massachusetts. The Ballot Access Manager will lead in executing a volunteer-driven signature collection program to secure Andrea’s place on the Democratic ballot. This role requires previous organizing experience and excellent attention to detail.

About Andrea Joy Campbell

Born and raised in Roxbury and the South End neighborhoods of Boston, Andrea Joy Campbell’s story is one of resilience, faith, and opportunity – from foster care to Princeton to public service. As Massachusetts’ first Black woman Attorney General, she leads with empathy, urgency, and faith, using the power of the law to make life better for every family.

Andrea’s fight is about breaking cycles – of poverty, mediocrity, and criminalization – and replacing them with justice, freedom, and opportunity. She’s taking on the biggest challenges facing Massachusetts families:

  • Making life more affordable by putting money directly back into people’s pockets.

  • Defending our freedoms against Trump-era rollbacks that threaten our fundamental rights.

  • Fighting for the next generation and expanding opportunity for every child.

About the role:

The Ballot Access Manager will report directly to the Campaign Manager and work closely with campaign consultants to lead the campaign’s efforts to secure Andrea’s position on the 2026 Democratic primary and general election ballots, including signature collection.

The responsibilities of the Ballot Access Manager will include:

  • Recruiting, training and managing volunteers to build a grassroots organizing program for Team Campbell;

  • Managing all aspects of the signature collection program including setting goals, managing volunteers, tracking collection, submitting signatures for certification, and more;

  • Maintaining relationships with campaign stakeholders and partners throughout ballot access process;

  • Work with Campaign Manager and other members of Team Campbell to contact party delegates and advance ballot access goals through the Democratic caucuses;

  • Other duties as assigned.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience recruiting, training and managing volunteers, required.

  • Experience with VAN or Vote builder, required.

  • Excellent verbal and written, interpersonal communication skills;

  • Excellent attention to detail and self-organization abilities;

  • Experience and comfort working under tight deadlines and large workloads;

  • Experience with Massachusetts a plus;

  • Passion for reelecting Massachusetts’ only statewide elected official of color.

Salary & location

This is a full-time, paid, temporary contract position, based in greater Boston, MA with an immediate start date. This is a contract position which is expected to end June 1, 2026 at the conclusion of the ballot access window.

Salary is dependent on experience and in the range of $5,500 – $6,500 per month.
