- Unit Snapshot: 18-bed ICU; average daily census ~16; patient ratio: 2
- EMR/Charting: Cerner
- Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,770–$1,860
- RN License: Active Maryland RN license or Compact (Multistate) RN license
- Experience: 2 years of recent ICU/critical care RN experience required (first-time travel nurses welcome)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (required)
- Assessment/Testing: Must pass EKG Rhythm Interpretation exam (minimum 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms)
- Floating: Must be willing to float to Med/Surg or Tele or IMC
- ICU Skills (preferred/expected): Ventilator management, vasoactive/cardiac drip titration, ABG interpretation, arterial line management, central line/PICC care, blood product administration, sedation management, stroke/CVA care, BiPAP/CPAP, and CRRT/CVVHD exposure
- Provide high-acuity bedside nursing care for critically ill adult and geriatric ICU patients, including rapid assessment, stabilization, and ongoing evaluation
- Manage ventilated patients and advanced respiratory support (HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP), including suctioning and ABG interpretation
- Titrate and monitor continuous infusions (vasoactive drips, cardiac drips, IV insulin protocols, sedation) per policy and provider orders
- Perform and document comprehensive assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Cerner
- Work with ICU equipment and monitoring modalities as applicable, with potential exposure to: IABP, CRRT, Targeted Temperature Management, Swan Ganz, and Temporary Pacemakers
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (RT, Pharmacy, PT, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response, etc.) to coordinate safe, evidence-based patient care
- Maintain infection prevention standards, isolation precautions, and safe medication administration while following ICU protocols
- Float to Med/Surg, Tele, or IMC while maintaining patient safety and scope-appropriate practice
