Registered Nurse - IMC

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate RN to provide bedside care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), also referred to as telemetry, intermediate care, direct observation, step-down, or transitional care units. The nurse will care for patients with chronic health conditions or those recovering from surgery who require close monitoring, but not intensive care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a PCU/telemetry setting.
• Monitor and assess patient condition using telemetry and standard observation protocols.
• Administer medications and assist in procedures as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient information and nursing actions accurately using Cerner EHR.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatments and post-care plans.
• Comply with infection control and safety policies, including COVID-19 and FLU vaccination mandates.

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/Telemetry experience
• Strong clinical assessment and monitoring skills
• Experience using Cerner Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Proficient in managing patients with chronic conditions and post-surgical recovery

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required

BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required

NIH Stroke Certification – Required

Education:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program
