Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

• The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care that is appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit, as directed by nursing management.
• Nursing care is provided in accordance with the philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Service Department, regulatory agencies, and professional organizations.
• The RN is accountable for the safety of nursing care they deliver or supervise and is responsible to the patient, family, or significant others for the quality of both direct and indirect nursing care delivered.
• The RN reports directly to the Director of Obstetrical Nursing or designee.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Labor & Delivery RN.

• Fetal monitoring certification preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.

• Assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
