Description:
NICU/Special Care Nursery RN
* ASAP START
** Locals within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate Reach out to AM for local rates
* ** Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
** 3xTraveler must have a record of multiple successfully completed assignments and no cancellations in their work historyBLS, NRP, & STABLE requiredNICU II experience required CPAP experience required2 years of experience required
Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment
Every other weekend required
Every other holiday required
Float to Postpartum and Labor and Delivery for neonatal care required
Special Care Nursery is a Level II unit that requires consistent monitoring and maintaining the stability of cardiopulmonary, neurologic, metabolic and thermal functions, either independently or in conjunction with the physician; assist with specialized procedures, such as lumbar puncture, endotracheal resuscitation of newborns that are 32 weeks or greater. Initiate, modify or stop treatment when appropriate according to established protocols or orders.
Must be proficient Support via High Flow O2, CPAP, Bubble CPAP & Mechanical Ventilation Management of Central Lines Peripheral IV Insertions Lab Draws Administration of IV antibiotics
Increased knowledge of apnea and bradycardia related to the pre-term infant
Stabilization of newborns less than 32 weeks and preparation for transport to a Level III facility
Thermoregulation in the pre-mature infant and full-term infant related to passive cooling
Proficient in Neonatal resuscitation; must have NRP certification and S.T.A.B.L.E. certification.
