American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with Cerner charting experience and prior travel assignment history to work in both IMC and ICU units.
Details- Hospital-based ICU and IMC (Intermediate Care) unit assignment
- 3x12 Day and Night shift options (7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30)
- Every other weekend required, totaling 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) in a six-week period
- Uses Cerner EMR system
- Active RN license:
Compact or MD license required - Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience within the last 7 years
- Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
- Cerner charting system experience required
- Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms
- Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years
- Flu vaccine required
- Provide critical care nursing across both ICU and IMC units
- Skills utilized include IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, and PICC line management
- Respiratory care skills include ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, chest tube care, and ABG interpretation
- Cardiac monitoring responsibilities include dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
- Additional clinical focus areas include wound care, IV insulin protocols, post cardiac catheterization care, and renal/dialysis management
- Candidates with previous Med Star employment must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
- Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
- First-time travelers are not eligible; at least one prior travel assignment is required
