American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a hospital emergency department requiring high-volume triage experience and prior travel assignment history.

• General Emergency Department serving a combined adult/pediatric patient population
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response duties, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float within skillset required

• Active RN license (Compact or MD)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
• Must have worked within the past 8 months in an ED setting with at least 45,600 visits per year (125/day)
• Triage experience required
• Prior travel nursing assignment required
• Cerner EMR charting experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
• BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms

• Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Perform triage, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response interventions
• Flu vaccine required for all employees
• Candidates must reside within 60 miles for local consideration at a lower rate
• Previous employees must have been separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• RTO limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract, with none permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
