American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an IMC/ICU position requiring 2 years of recent ICU experience, Cerner proficiency, and prior travel assignment completion.

• Hospital-based Intermediate Care (IMC) and ICU units
• Traveler will work in both the IMC and ICU units
• 3x12 shifts, Day or Night rotation
• Every other weekend required, equating to 6 weekend shifts within a six-week period
• Cerner EMR experience required

• Active MD RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/IMC experience within the last 7 years required
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment
• Must support at least 2 years of experience within the previous 3 years

• Provide critical care nursing support across IMC and ICU patient populations
• Skills utilized may include IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, cardiac drip management, and telemetry monitoring
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
• Previous Med Star employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Interviews with the unit manager are not guaranteed
