The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position has been established at: $75,000 - $84,000
.
The above salary range represents the company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.
Responsibilities:- Serve as BSL-2, BSL-3, and BSL-4 mentor
- Prepare and participate in laboratory inspections conducted by Safety, Biosurety, CDC, and/or the Department of Army Inspector General, at least 4 times a year
- Support 5-10 Non-human Primate studies: prepare study materials, virus, observe animals, assist with sample collection and processing, perform CBC, chemistries, coagulation assays, and other clinical laboratory assays
- Support 15-20 rodent studies per year: inoculate with test article or virus, observe, collect tissues, conduct bleedings
- Perform basic cell culture, plaque assays, PRNT, PCR, and other assays supporting 10-15 NHP studies and 25-35 rodent studies, approximately 750 plates/assays per month
- Travel may be required for study support and scientific presentations
- Perform in vitro testing of vaccines and therapeutics, using 200-300 plates/assays per month
- Conduct immunological procedures including ELISA and Western Blot, approximately 200 assays/month
- Analyze cellular populations via flow cytometry on multiple machines in BSL-3 and BSL-4 labs, about 100 samples/month
- Manage laboratory supplies in BSL-2, BSL-3, and BSL-4 labs, including ordering via GFEBS system, with an expected workload of 10-20 orders/month
- Assist with annual equipment inventory management in BSL-2 and BSL-3 labs
- Provide weekly employee research technical reports to the TPOC
- Maintain CS-PRP and BPRP enrollments as per contract and regulations
