In this role, you’ll be a key player, providing both leadership and hands‑on support for our concrete teams across various industries, including construction, manufacturing, power plants, oil and gas, renewable energy, and more.
As a skilled professional, you’ll use your strong construction knowledge and hands‑on experience to manage projects, lead crews, and help solve challenges on‑site. Whether you’re working on commercial, industrial, or energy‑related projects, no two days will be the same, and you’ll have the chance to grow and make a real impact on the success of the projects you lead.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading teams, solving problems, and working in different settings. You’ll also need to be flexible and open to traveling, as much of the work will take you to different job sites and out‑of‑town locations. While the job involves extended hours, including weekends, holidays, and possible night shifts, the variety of work and the chance to make a difference will keep you engaged and motivated.
WhatYou'll Do
- Lead jobs to include schedule and production tracking, materials placement, installation, finishing, curing, and post‑job inspections
- Read and interpret job documents such as blueprints, drawings, plans, etc.
- Train, lead, and mentor less experienced Concrete Workers including running crews
- Oversee complex tasks such as vertical and suspended pours or installing shoring and jack posting, etc.
- Execute technical aspects of concrete work including installing, dismantling, and moving forms, mixing masonry, running vibrators, etc.
- Mark site layouts for footers, foundations, ditches, etc.
- Establish job site elevations, points, benchmarks, etc. using a variety of methods such as laser, transit, etc.
- Walk/use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or tools / Reach with hands and arms / Climb ladders and stairs / Crawl/kneel/lie down for extended periods of time
- Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Work in confined spaces
- Climb and perform work at heights of 30+
- Breathe effectively while wearing a respirator
- A minimum of 3+ years of concrete experience to include pours, finishes, rebar, carpentry, etc. preferred
- Strong construction/mechanical knowledge and aptitude required
- Valid driver's license required
- Demonstrates mastery of basic tools and concrete tools such as trowels, concrete saws, concrete vibrators, screeds
- Proficient in operating small equipment such as forklifts, mini excavators, manlifts, skid steers, trench compactors, etc.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans
