Performs routine general and preventive maintenance on hospital facilities. Acts as a helper/laborer when needed for Maintenance and Engineering.

Performs routine general and preventive maintenance on hospital facilities. Acts as a helper/laborer when needed for Maintenance and Engineering.

• Assists Maintenance Mechanics Stationary Engineers and Carpenters in performing more difficult and project types of work.
• Cleans job site posts signs and performs other related jobs relating to hospital nature.
• Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
• Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and hospital in community outreach efforts as required and service improvement teams.
• Performs building maintenance work of a repetitive and elementary nature such as filter changes inspecting cleaning and lubrication of equipment changing belts clearing pipes adjusting room thermostats replacing broken or missing hardware mixing and applying paints and other coatings and patching wall surfaces with drywall compound masonry and Firestop.
• Performs minor carpentry tasks and various other types of work such as helping to install ceiling and floor tile.
• Performs minor repairs and maintenance to include painting plastering carpentry plumbing and electrical power on electrical equipment machinery buildings and facilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years experience in facility maintenance or construction.
• Incinerator Operator Cert - IOC.

USD $20.57 - USD $36.27 /Hr.
