As a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at our local retail store, your role will support and oversee repairs within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
What You'll DoResponsibilities include:
- Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support Stores and Store associates, and document repair activities.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to Walmart's Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
- Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and be comfortable working at heights frequently.
- 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
- Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience.
- Type I/Type II or Universal EPA Certification for Refrigerant handling.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
- 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Option 1: 10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
Option 2: 8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and Refrigeration.
Universal EPA Certification.
Preferred Qualifications- Completion of a 2‑year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2‑year associate’s of applied science A/C and refrigeration.
- Excellent driving record.
- Prior work experience with Glycol and CO2 systems.
- Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work according to practices and procedures outlined in Walmart's Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
- Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and be comfortable working at heights frequently.
The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $56.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premium may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
