Dump Truck Driver ABOUT

THE ROLE

Amrize, a leading supplier of quality construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Dump Truck Driver in our Asphalt division. The Dump Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport asphalt and related materials to and from job sites while complying with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Coordinate with plant operations, dispatch, and paving crews to ensure timely, efficient deliveries that support asphalt production and placement schedules.

WHAT

YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Safely operate dump trucks to transport asphalt, aggregates, and related materials to and from job sites in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery tickets, and other required documentation.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, plant personnel, and paving crews to ensure timely and efficient material delivery.
  • Follow all job site safety procedures, traffic control requirements, and environmental guidelines.
  • Adjust driving and dumping operations based on weather, road conditions, and job site constraints.
  • Ensure proper loading, securement, and unloading of materials to prevent spills or damage.
  • Communicate effectively with the asphalt crew and assist as needed to ensure the safety of the site, crew members, and equipment.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Education:
    High school diploma or equivalent
  • Required

    Work Experience:

    Minimum 2 year of dump truck driving experience, preferably in asphalt or construction materials.
  • Travel Requirements: Daily travel required. Must be willing to travel to multiple job sites within the region as required.
  • Must have Valid CDL A with no restrictions
  • Safely operate dump trucks to transport asphalt, aggregates, and related materials to and from job sites in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery tickets, and other required documentation.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, plant personnel, and paving crews to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
  • Communicate effectively with asphalt crews and provide assistance as needed to maintain site safety and workflow.
  • Follow all job site safety procedures, traffic control requirements, and environmental regulations.
  • Adjust driving and dumping operations based on weather, road conditions, and job site constraints.
  • Ensure proper loading, securement, and unloading of materials to prevent spills, damage, or delays.
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, contractors, and the public
Additional Requirements
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
