Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site CDL A Truck Driver role based in Clinton, MD. The CDL A Truck Driver will safely operate company trucks to transport freight to various local and regional destinations, following all DOT regulations and company policies. Daily tasks include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing and unloading freight as required, maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation, and communicating with dispatch about schedules, delays, and route changes.

The driver will be expected to follow assigned routes, adhere to delivery timelines, keep equipment clean and in good operating condition, and represent Geva Logistics professionally with customers and at all facilities.

Qualifications
  • Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and a strong commitment to safe driving practices.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and standard truck inspection procedures.
  • Ability to operate tractor-trailers and related equipment, including backing, coupling, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
  • Experience handling bills of lading, delivery receipts, and basic freight documentation accurately.
  • Strong time management and route planning skills to meet delivery schedules reliably.
  • Clear, professional communication skills to work effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
  • Reliability, integrity, and a customer-focused mindset; prior experience in trucking or logistics is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is beneficial; additional safety or transportation certifications are a plus.
