Clinton Elementary School is looking for a dynamic Special Educator to join our team.

• Direct instruction with students based on IEP goals, in and out of the classroom, in a co-taught classroom,
• Plans lessons to be delivered in a co-taught setting in collaboration with the general education teacher,
• Act as case manager for students on instructional caseload,
• Oversees annual IEP meetings and reports on student progress,
• Develops and implements IEP goals and accommodations,
• Collaborates/consults with general education teachers as well as related service providers,
• Maintains strong communication between home and school, as appropriate,
• Uses classroom management strategies to maintain a successful learning environment,
• Ensures confidentiality of privileged information,
• Knowledgeable of state and federal special education laws,
• Conducts appropriate special education assessments to determine eligibility for special education services,
• Assists in IEP development, implementation and progress reporting,
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Principal,
• Salary based on CTA contract min: $57,663- max: $109,367

• Bachelor's Degree with a major in Special Education, Master's Degree preferred.
• Massachusetts Educators License:
  Moderate Licensure preferred.
• Knowledge of the requirements of federal and state regulations.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.
