Job Description
Project Engineer II positions offered by Jabil Inc. (Clinton, Massachusetts). Collaborate closely with project managers and quality engineers to ensure timely and budget‑conscious completion of projects. Review, understand, and interpret requirements/specifications to seamlessly integrate them into equipment design, with a focus on manufacturability. Serve as a liaison between internal and external assemblers, manufacturers, and molders, ensuring compliance with design standards during the manufacturing process.
Responsible for executing validation qualifications (IQ, OQ, and PQ) for production machines. Generate design drawings, installation manuals, and user manuals to facilitate the smooth implementation and operation of automated equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems, ensuring optimal functionality and performance, if needed. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement innovative solutions for process improvement.
- Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 4 years of experience in the position offered or 4 years of experience working in assembly engineering.
- Also requires 4 years of experience:
- Executing validation qualifications (IQ and OQ) for production machines, according to internal SOPs.
- Troubleshooting assembly automation machines.
- Implementing solutions for process improvements.
- Also requires 2 years of experience developing parts and machine designs using the Solid Works platform.
- Also requires 1 year of experience integrating vision systems.
- Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
