- Complies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
- Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.
- Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
- Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.

- Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.
- Associate of Science in Respiratory Care
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Current Massachusetts State Respiratory Care License
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required within 3 months of employment)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (required within 3 months of employment)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (required within 3 months of employment)
- Valid and unrestricted driver's license recognized by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
- Preferred:
Bachelor of Science or higher - Preferred:
Specialty credential issued by the NBRC (ACCS, SDS, NPS, or RPFT) - Preferred: AE-C Certification
- Minimum two (2) years of acute care experience
- Ability to assess patients and make appropriate therapeutic recommendations along the continuum of care from admission to discharge including all aspects of respiratory care from floor therapies to mechanical ventilation and blood gas interpretation
- Ability to read, write and speak clearly in English.
- Preferred:
Five (5) years of acute care experience
Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
