CNC Programmer

Nypro Mold is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our high-performance tooling team. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs used in the manufacturing of precision molds and components. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes pride in producing high-quality work that meets tight tolerances and production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers using CAM software
Interpret blueprints and CAD models to determine machining requirements
Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machining strategies
Collaborate with manufacturing and design personnel to ensure part requirements are met
Continuously improving cycle times and machining processes
Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements

Qualifications

2+ years of CNC programming experience in a mold-making or precision machining environment
Strong understanding of G-code, tooling selection, and machining strategies
Experience with high-speed machining and tight tolerance work preferred
Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings
Knowledge and experience machine various tool steels
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Skills

Experience programming 5-axis CNC machines
Experience using Mastercam
Familiarity with mold manufacturing processes
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
Experience with ERP systems and production tracking
