Youth Advocate Counselor
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a respected Department of Youth Services (DYS) program in Clinton, MA seeking Youth Advocate Counselors to support females ages 14–22 in a staff-secured setting.
This is a meaningful, hands-on role where you'll help guide, mentor, and support youth as they work toward stability and positive growth. Ideal for entry-level candidates interested in human services, education, social work, or youth development.

Position may involve the use of restraints as part of safety protocols.

- Hours:
40 hours/week - Schedules:
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Wed–Sun
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM | Sun–Thurs
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM | Fri–Tues
- 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Thurs–Mon (Overnights are female-only)
- Pay: $25/hr

Responsibilities- Create a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment using youth development and trauma-informed care principles
- Build positive relationships and serve as a mentor and role model
- Support youth in developing life skills, interests, and healthy decision-making
- Lead daily program activities that encourage personal growth
- Promote an inclusive and respectful environment
- Follow safety protocols, including crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques
- High school diploma or related experience
- Experience working with youth (professional or volunteer)
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray if applicable
- Current health certificate (per contract/state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
