Before And After-School Program Coordinator
Huron Elementary
Monday - Friday; 6:30AM - 10:30AM and 2:00PM-6:00PM (must be able to work the split shift)
Hours may vary depending on individual school times
Half days have opportunity for more hours
Starting pay based on experience and/or degree
Duties include:
- Oversee planning, developing, and running before and after-school programs
- Interview, hire, schedule, train, supervise, and evaluate staff
- Ensure staff training and professional development requirements have been met (16 hours annual training)
- Develop and communicate the staff meeting schedule, as well as setting expectations for attendance, participation, and professional conduct
- Ensure that S.A.C.C Aides comply with LARA rules, regulations, and ratios
- Responsible for the accuracy of UKG time keeping system for S.A.C.C Aides
- Manages contract approvals and changes in the Eleyo Child Care Attendance Software
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must meet one of the following educational requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a child-related field
- Associate's degree in a child-related field with 480 hours of experience
- Montessori credential with 12 semester hours in a child-related field with 480 hours of experience
- Michigan school-age credential with 12 semester hours in a child-related field with 480 hours of experience
- Child development associate credential with 12 semester hours in a child-related field with 480 hours of experience
- 60 semester hours of education with 12 semester hours in a child-related field with 720 hours of experience
- High school diploma/GED with 6 semester hours in a child-related field with 2,880 hours of experience
Must have at least 2 semester hours in child care administration from an accredited college or university or a minimum of 3.0 CEUs in child care administration.
Must have current certification in infant, child, and adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid.
Must complete 16 clock hours of annual training.
This position requires the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to perform essential job duties, including but not limited to understanding and following safety instructions, responding appropriately to emergency situations, completing documentation, and interacting with English-speaking staff, students, community and supervisors.
