Manual Bridgeport Machinist

Prestige Extreme Machining and Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Manual Bridgeport Machinist to join our growing machining team. We are looking for a skilled machinist with hands-on Bridgeport experience who takes pride in precision machining and producing high-quality components. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist who is comfortable working independently, understands precision machining practices, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual Bridgeport machine to machine precision components according to customer and engineering specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Perform machining operations while maintaining close tolerances and established quality standards.
  • Select and use appropriate cutting tools, work-holding methods, and machining techniques.
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet customer and engineering specifications.
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot machining issues as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and other machinists to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Follow company safety procedures, quality standards, and established machining practices.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of machining experience
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience operating a manual Bridgeport machine.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, speeds, and precision tolerances.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make appropriate adjustments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to meeting production requirements.
