We are seeking a compassionate, patient-centered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our growing rehabilitation team. At Methodist Rehab, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping patients overcome communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges in a collaborative, supportive environment.

As a member of our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, you'll work alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans that maximize each patient's communication, cognitive function, swallowing safety, and overall quality of life.

What You'll Do Evaluate patients with communication, cognitive, voice, language, speech, and swallowing disorders, including aphasia, dysarthria, dysphagia, memory deficits, and problem-solving impairments.

Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans based on each patient's goals and clinical needs.

Provide evidence-based speech-language pathology services to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function.

Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.

Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, providing updates on patient progress, therapy goals, and discharge recommendations.

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.

Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, compensatory strategies, home programs, and techniques to support continued recovery.

Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Supervise Speech-Language Pathology students as assigned.

Thrive in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating excellent communication, critical thinking, organizational, and time management skills.

Inspire and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey with compassion, professionalism, and patient-centered care.

Schedule Full-time
40 hours/week Monday - Friday Education Master 's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Licensure Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of Mississippi, or eligibility for Mississippi licensure.

Certification Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or eligibility and actively completing the Clinical Fellowship (CFY).Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred or required upon hire, according to organizational policy.

Experience Clinical Fellows (CFs) and experienced Speech-Language Pathologists are encouraged to apply.

One year of clinical Speech-Language Pathology experience is preferred but not required.

Experience in inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, or outpatient rehabilitation is a plus.
