Job Description:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician B to join our team at Stennis Space Center, MS.
In this role, you will work alongside technicians and quality assurance personnel to support the assembly, testing, and delivery of large rocket engines and components, with primary responsibility for rocket engine test preparation, testing, and post-test processing. You will have the opportunity to develop specialized knowledge of engine and component function and assembly, as well as pre- and post-test processing, functional testing, and inspections.

You will also work with staff in related disciplines, including contractors and customers, to help ensure the successful assembly, testing, and delivery of L3

Harris products.

• Knowledge of mechanical systems, various measuring and testing devices, and experience with hand tools are essential.
• Understand and interpret required engineering drawings, instructions, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of mechanical equipment such as high-pressure pneumatic, cryogenic and hydraulic systems, NDT equipment, etc.
• Work may require the ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, crane, hoist, man lift, etc.) in a safe manner.
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% as required.
• Must have the ability to work at heights and in confined areas.
• Must have the ability to learn and follow detailed processes associated with the operation and maintenance of large-scale rocket engine test facilities.
• Must be able to pass an eye exam and certifications such as confined spaced entry, respirator, lock out- tag out, cryogenic safety, process safety management, etc.
• Must be willing to work all shifts and weekends.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain NASA Personnel Reliability Program (PRP) security clearance.

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/associate’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

• Aerospace background with A&P license/military equivalent proficiency test, preferred.
• Work well independently, as well as in a team environment.
• Have good communication skills and demonstrate good attention to detail during performance of roles and responsibilities.
• The ability to operate computers and special software associated with graphical user interfaces are preferred.
