- Bachelor's Degree in Education
- Missouri Teaching Certification for Elementary K-5
- Prior experience teaching in a Title I school and/or experience with math intervention strategies
- The Title I Math Teacher is responsible for providing targeted instructional support in mathematics to students in a Title I school. This role focuses on helping students achieve proficiency in math through differentiated instruction, intervention strategies, and collaboration with classroom teachers to support math learning across the curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of math content, instructional strategies, and intervention techniques.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and collaborate with colleagues.
- Understanding of the role of the classroom teacher and the public school’s relationship to the community and the people served.
- Capacity to make thoughtful decisions based on facts, knowledge, and insight, and the courage to stand by the results.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, small and large groups, by correspondence or oral expression.
- Ability to organize and plan effectively.
- Possess an ethical and professional attitude toward colleagues and the policies of the district.
- Requires the ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.
- Occasionally requires the ability to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materials.
- Occasionally requires the ability to stoop, bend, and reach.
- Must be able to work in noisy and crowded environments.
- Requires regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job.
Salary schedule
Certified Staff
Employed for a period of 170 days (new to district 172 days) as set in the annual calendar
Reviewed annually and recommended for reemployment determined by April 15
Reports to Building Principal and/or Assistant Principal

- Spend the necessary time required to fulfill the duties of the position. Be a member and participant in the activities of professional organizations vital to the development of professional excellence.

- Work cooperatively with administration and staff throughout the district.
- Instruction and Curriculum Development:
Design and implement math instruction that aligns with state and district standards. Create and adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of Title I students. Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to make math concepts accessible and engaging. - Student Engagement and Support:
Provide individualized and small group instruction to support students struggling with math. Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and intervention as needed. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence in math. - Collaboration and Professional Development:
Work closely with classroom teachers to integrate math support into regular classroom activities. Provide professional development and support to teachers on effective math instruction strategies. Stay updated on best practices in math education and Title I program requirements. - Compliance and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of student progress and program effectiveness. Ensure compliance with Title I program requirements and standards. Prepare and submit reports on student achievement and program outcomes as required. - Become familiar with, enforce and follow all Board policies, regulations, administrative procedures, other directions given by District administrators and state and federal laws as they affect the performance of job duties.
