Position Overview
Certified Medication Aide (CMA / L1MA) at Americare Senior Living – Glendale Gardens Community, Memory Care, Clinton, MO. Full‑time, Nights shift. Pay: starting $15 – $15.25 per hour.
In this role, you’ll safely administer medications under the supervision of licensed staff while providing hands‑on support with daily living activities. You’ll help maintain a safe, structured, home‑like environment for residents living with memory loss, while supporting families and visitors.
Responsibilities- Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of licensed nursing staff in accordance with Missouri regulations
- Verify resident identity prior to medication administration and document dosage, time, and observations
- Monitor residents for medication responses and promptly report adverse reactions or concerns
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, meals, and mobility
- Accurately observe, record, and report resident care, conditions, concerns, and food intake/output
- Recognize and report changes in resident condition to charge staff
- Complete admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as required
- Support coworkers by providing assistance as needed
- Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident rooms and common areas
- Answer phone calls, greet visitors, and assist with tours of the community as needed
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Certified Medication Aide / Med Level One course with certification in the State of Missouri
- Willingness to complete Med Level One training at the community, if applicable
- Active certification maintained in good standing
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a Memory Care team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety
- Compassionate, patient, and resident‑centered approach to care
- Professional communication skills and reliability
- Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed
- Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance
- Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.
- Follow proper resident care procedures, including two‑person lifts when required
- Utilize required PPE to prevent exposure to blood‑borne pathogens
- Report work‑related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentation
- Participate in company drug testing procedures
This role is performed in an indoor Memory Care environment with appropriate lighting and ventilation. Duties may include accompanying residents to supervised indoor or outdoor activities.
